| Disregard the dots on the backing plates. You do not need them at all. Line up the 4 cam and 1 crank dots with the belt markings and you will be correct. If you think your belt slipped, take it off, re-align the sprockets and belt marks, don't try to count the teeth, its a waste of time. Re-aligning the belt is not that hard and you need to be confident that its aligned properly before re-assembling everything.
